We had all the windows and external doors of the house replaced. I couldn't be more pleased with the job. This is a fantastic firm from: helpful discussions early on; a detailed quote for the job (which they stuck to-no price hikes!); starting when they said they would; seamless delivery of windows and removal of waste; clearing up after themselves every day; and prompt attention to any queries or adjustments during the job. They made it possible for us to retain and restore much loved leaded lights, and found us someone to make a stained glass panel for our front door, which is widely admired and enhances the house. They fitted the cat flap, tolerated an enthusiastic escapologist dog, only slipped up once when she escaped (she came back!). We had new windows and front door installed at our house earlier this year, from the initial contact to installation Calarel have been a great company to work with, friendly, helpful, professional and it was very clear that they very much take pride in the quality of work and service they provide. The windows and doors were installed with minimum disruption and consideration was given to us at all times, the few bits of snagging we had were acknowledged and followed up immediately. Since the installation visitors to our house have commented also on the quality of the new windows and front door and we have noticed a huge difference to how much warmer and better insulated our house is. We decided to change our existing staircase to a new oak one. We contacted 2 large \u201cnational\u201d companies and although they provided a visit to the house and a glossy brochure , the price was double to our proposed budget. We then contacted Calarel, who were local to us and from our initial enquiry, we had a visit within days together with photos of staircases they had created. Again, within a very short space of time, we were provided with samples of the spindles, handrail and wood stains and a price that was exactly what we hoped for! We cannot recommend Calarel highly enough. The work was carried out with the minimum of disruption with such pleasant fitters who were a delight to have in our home.
